you know it's like 8 something now. and i haven't even finished doing my room. me and my mom started at like. what? 2-3pm? omg. i'm damn tired.

i removed my old desk (which is sorta like screwed to the wall or something like that) and there were like nails sticking out on the edges. and so after removing it from the wall. i left the pieces of wood on the floor. (so dumb. i know.) i went out to get i forgot what. and came back. stepping on one of the nails. OMG. my table has been wit me for many many years. and obviously. the nail was rusty!

BUT!

Tetanus is often associated with rust, especially rusty nails, but this is somewhat misleading. Rust itself does not cause tetanus or contain more C. tetani bacteria. Objects that accumulate rust are often found in the outdoors or places that generally contain more anaerobic bacteria. Since C. tetani is an anaerobic bacterium, it will thrive in an environment that lacks oxygen. The rough surface of rusty metal provides a prime habitat for the endospore to reside. This endospore is a non-metabolising survival structure and once in an adequate environment (e.g. a puncture wound) it begins metabolising and an infection begins. Therefore, stepping on an old forgotten nail in a stable could easily result in tetanus, partly because C. tetani is found in animal feces (which is rather abundant in a stable) and the puncture wound effectively create an ideal breeding ground for the bacteria (because of the lack of oxygen). Such an old nail would likely be rusty, but a lack of rust would provide no protection. On the other hand, someone scratching themselves against a rusty fire escape ladder in an urban setting would have a much lesser chance of getting tetanus since fire escape ladders do not often come into intimate contact with soil, dirt or organic waste and the wound itself (e.g. a scratch) does not create an oxygen-poor environment.

anyways. my barang barang are like all over my living room floor. some are even in the kitchen. shit. i can't stand it. so gonna get everything together tomorrow. i have to la actually. if not my mom will kill me. since the day after tomorrow is already hari raya. (as if anyone's coming to my house like that! grrr!)

but it's coming along nicely. my room i mean. it's got more space now. and it looks way cosier. i'm so happy. kinda feel like not wanting to paint anymore. just coz of the fact that i have to move everything out and in again. it's really sickening. and heavy. i think i grew muscles today. hmm.

SCHOOL'S TOMORROW!!! actually feel kinda excited. (just coz i need to get away from my mom. we're driving each other up the wall.) start at 12pm. yay!! and end at 2pm! coz no tutorials!!!!! yayyyyy!!! should be driving. hope they haven't implemented the ERP thingy yet. *crosses-fingers*

yanqi can finally club! but she's going to zouk. damn shit. yanqi! i thought you were my lucky star!!! HAHAHA! sigh. finding people to club nowadays's a freaking nightmare. it used to be like. going down to the clubs every week. free flow of cash. free flow of kakis. WHERE HAVE ALL OF YOU GONE?!!??!?!

mel said she would be able to when she starts school again. that's like. another 4-5 weeks. guess it will do. btw. i know i said i wouldn't club anymore when school starts. but hell. don't think i'm gonna stick to the plan. after all. it IS JUST a plan. but i'll study. don't worry. =) oh and mel. get well soon k! and i thought you were dead since you didn't answer my calls. bitch. never tell me you went to malaysia! and i'm very sure i didn't receive your call on friday!
